Välkommen till Svenska nationalkommittén av ICSW
Den svenska nationalkommittén av ICSW, International Council on Social Welfare är ett nationellt nätverk för organisationer, myndigheter och företag som arbetar för social rättvisa och social välfärd. ICSW Sverige utgör en länk för medlemmarna till ett europeiskt och globalt samarbete och utbyte vid regionala och internationella konferenser.
Vartannat år arrangerar ICSW en världskonferens för att följa upp och analysera gjorda framsteg inom social välfärd och social utveckling. Nästa konferens äger rum i Stockholm den 8-12 juli 2012.
ICSW grundläggande uppgift är att främja social och ekonomisk utveckling för att minska fattigdom och utanförskap. För att uppfylla målen arbetar ICSW främst med att samla in och sprida information, anordna seminarier och konferenser, utveckla politiska förslag och påverka beslutsfattare.
Welcome to the Swedish National Committee of ICSW
The Swedish National Committee of ICSW is a national network with some 30 members representing NGOs, government agencies and private welfare companies working for social justice and social development. ICSW Sweden is a link for members to the European and global network for exchange at regional and international conferences.
Every two years, ICSW organizes a world conference to follow up and analyze progress made in social welfare and social development. The next conference will be held jointly with our sister organizations IASSW and IFSW in Stockholm on 8-12 July 2012.
ICSW was founded 1928 in Paris at the first world conference and today has member organizations and national committees in more than 70 countries. ICSW’s basic task is to promote social and economic development to reduce poverty and social exclusion. To meet the objectives ICSW primarily works with collecting and disseminating information, organizing seminars and conferences, developing policy proposals and influencing policy makers.
